"SAINT" Print
12x18 matte print on photo paper. The “x” on the “i” is drawn on by hand for each print, making it one of a kind.
This piece is an emblem of the sentiment “It all belongs.” I had the idea for over a year to create a tribute to people who have shaped my worldview, originally titling it “In The Company Of Ragamuffins”. I pieced together the likenesses of Rich Mullins, Martin Luther King Jr, John Lennon, Corrie Ten Boom, Keith Green, St Teresa of Avila, and St Peter. While none of these people were perfect, and would probably disagree on most things if they spoke to each other, they each embodied different characteristics of what I have learned “saints” to be.
I hope that when you look at this puzzle of a portrait, you are reminded that there is divine purpose in all of the pieces of yourself that seem to be at war with each other.
